The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of combined intervention of social story and video feedback on conflict-resolving skills of children with High-Functioning Autism(HFA). Children with High-Functioning Autism(HFA) have difficulties in formation and maintenance of social relationship, because they are lack of conflict-resolving skills in social situations. In order to examine the effects of the intervention for these children, we conducted a single subject research using a multiple prusing multiple probe design across behaviors. Two 9-year-old children with HFA, who attend general elementary school, participated to this study. When real conflicts were created in cooperative play situation, the frequency of behaviors was measured in 3 classifications : role performance and emotion control as sub-act of self-control and reciprocity. The results show how social story and video feedback improve conflict-resolving skill of children with HFA. Also acquired conflict-resolving skills are revealed to be maintained even 4 weeks after mediation. Implications for practice were discussed deducted in terms of conflict-resolving skill of children with HFA.
